About Ayana Nelson

Founder of Kiloloz.Style
Her Style Is Her Way.

After servicing in the beauty industry for many years, I’ve learned one powerful truth: your hair tells your story. For so many Black women, that story is complex and layered. Your hair is always yearning for the deep-rooted desire to simply breathe.

For years, I’ve been in conversation with women going through "the change". I’ve noticed that shifts in life are not just physical, but emotional and spiritual. Many are ready to transition out of constant protective styles such as weaves and braids and into something more freeing. I want to guide that journey. In my heart, I want to lead with black women being okay with their own hair and being natural, but it’s okay to wear wigs and weaves.

My passion for hair care deepened after personal loss. My sister passed from stage 4 colon cancer. My cousin, who had been diagnosed as well, decided to treat her entire body with all-natural products and food. Today, she’s in remission. Health starts from the inside out. And hair? Hair responds to what we feed our bodies, our minds, and our spirits.

I created Kiloloz.Style to help women reconnect with their natural selves and nourish their hair at every stage. Your hair needs love and care no matter how it's styled. Just like fruit sealed in a bag with no air will mold, hair hidden away too long without daily care will suffer.

I am excited at the opportunity to share my expertise and dive back into the beauty sector after taking a break of about a decade.

Your style is your way!
